  • Come to enjoy canyoning in the Madrid mountain range of Guadarrama! The Somosierra Canyon (Duratón waterfalls) is a granite gorge with 3 abseils and 1 slide ideal for those without experience in canyoning. Patagonica´s canyoning instructor will meet you up at the meeting point (previously agreed) at 10:00am in Somosierra mountain pass which is the closest spot to the Canyon (1 hour away from Madrid downtown) gear distribution and hike to the first abseil (15' aprox). The duration of the activity is approximately 3-4 hours depending of the number of people, time enough to enjoy the fresh water and the mountain surroundings!.

    Recommended Equipment

  • Appropriate clothing for mountain activities.
  • Sneakers (to wear in the water) or canyoning shoes.
  • Swimsuit to wear underneath neoprene (avoid shorts type).
  • Sunscreen.
  • Water (minimum 1,5 lts/pers) snack type food (nuts, energy bars) to leave in the car.
  • Personal medication.
  • Mobile phone and waterproof camera.
  • Extra Clothes to leave in the car.
